Mexico

Trunk type:

There are both trunking and trunkless forms of this plant.

Leaf type:

Pinnate (feather shape).

Suckering/Solitary:

Solitaire (single trunk).

Slow

Height:

Usually under four feet, but trunking forms to 8-10 feet.

Soil requirements:

Likes moisture and good drainage.

Sun Requirements:

Usually filtered light, but can tolerate full sun in some areas

General Description:

A great miniature "filler" palm for that spot where nothing else will fit.

Other Notes:

Long blossoms with beautiful colored fruit.  Very attractive.  Good small palm for shady but cool areas.
