Thailand & Malaya

Cold Hardiness: 

To freezing, 32º F.

Trunk type:

Essentially no trunk

Leaf type:

Huge, solid leaves coming out of the ground.  Stunning!

Suckering/Solitary:

Solitary (single trunk).

Maintenance:

Difficult

Speed of growth:

Slow growing.

Height:

To top of leaves, 12 feet plus 

Soil requirements:

Rich, good draining, keep moist.

Sun Requirements:

Shade

General Description:

A unique and beautiful simple leafed plant with very large leaves.

Other Notes:

Hard to grow, very sought after.  Plant in warm location when larger.
