Thailand and Bangladesh

Trunk type:

The crown and trunk are brown and fibrous.

Leaf type:

  This palm has large plumose leaves.  The
  undersides of the leaflets are silver.

Solitary

Maintenance:

This palm is easy to grow.

Speed of growth:

Moderate

Height:

20 feet +

Soil requirements:

Rich and sandy soil that drains well.

Sun Requirements:

Partial to full sun (along the coast).

General Description:

This a a great palm.  The leaves are in two ranks, making the palm very two dimensional.  It is a good palm for most of Southern California.
