DESCRIPTION

Chamaedorea stolonifera

Common Names:
ID:	232
Locality:	Mexico
Cold Hardiness:	28º, F.
Trunk Type:	Suckering by means of it's running "stolons".
Leaf Type:	Simple leaves, short, solid with somewhat of a "fishtail appearance".
Suckering/Solitary:	Suckering with very thin trunks, under 1 cm in size. Clumps rarely get above head height.
Maintenance:	Average, but prefer shady locations
Speed of growth:	Average. With time will form colonies.
Height:	To about 6 feet
Soil requirements:	Rich, well draining soil
Sun requirements:	Filtered light or shade. Full sun will burn this species.
General Description:	A very cute, suckering species that is reliable and attractive. It will fill in an area and never gets too tall. Can be propagated by cutting off and removing rooted-out plants produced by its stolons.
