This section of our website was created for making it easy to read about species or genera of palms that you are interested in.  Some articles are comprehensive, others are short.  But, all show a good selection of any given species so you can get to know it.  We always mention cultural needs for any of the palms.  As we publish more articles on species, the lists below will be expanded.

Introduction

Below is a list of palms with each species or genus linked to an article.

There are two lists below: 
1.  First below Common Names  
2.  Followed by list of Scientific (Species/Genus) Names. 

Select whichever list is easier for you.  Then click on individual species or groups.  Both lists go to the same article but are obviously in a different order.  Some plants don't have a common name and only a scientific name would be given in this case.  Names in either group are listed alphabetically.
