General Description:

This is a large palm.  I recommend it for a yard with a lot of space.  It will have a comparable spread to a Phoenix canariensis.  Note:  Compare this palm with the absence of leaf "windows" to Beccariophoenix fenestralis that has windows when juvenile.

Other Notes:

There are a few things about this palm that should be known:  they like a lot of iron and nitrogen as they tend to get anemic, it likes a lot of water and give this palm room. When small, it takes up a fair amount of space before it forms any significant trunk.

Further Data:

As time goes on, we now know that there are three forms of Beccariophoenix

Beccariophoenix species "windows", presently called Beccariophoenix fenestralis.

Beccriophoenix madagascarensis, previously known as "Beccariophoenix no windows" -
Described here

Beccariophoenix alfredii,
a more recently named species.
