Description

   

Locality:

Hybrid

Cold Hardiness: 

Probably 18-20 F.

Trunk type:

Fat trunk with retained leaf bases.  Not as fat as Jubaea, but much fatter than a Butia.

Leaf type:

  Pinnate with silver/green color,  leaves tend to curve down a bit.

Suckering/Solitary:

Solitary.

Maintenance:

Easy.

Speed of growth:

Slow to moderate.

Height:

Uncertain probably 30+ feet.

Soil requirements:

Average.

Sun Requirements:

Full.

General Description:

This is a thick trunked palm that look just like one would expect from this hybrid.

Other Notes:

Gives on a faster growing Jubaea-looking palm that can be of size without waiting decades.  The Butia blood should give it good cold hardiness.
